Nanning police certificate, from overseas.

Nanning’s published notarial checklist distinguishes foreign applicants from hukou applicants and includes a photo holding the authorization for delegated cases.

Checked 13 October 2026For foreign residents & former residents

Your local application route

Beibuwan Notary Office’s own checklist says a foreign applicant’s police proof is issued by the public-security Exit-Entry department. Its notarial checklist should not be read as a complete police-counter filing guide.

Who may be eligible

  • Check the national foreign-resident baseline together with your actual Nanning residence permit and address history.
  • The published notarial page does not settle the police office’s current treatment of short stays, missing registration records or a person who now lives abroad.

A tourist visa, residence permit and temporary accommodation registration are different records. If your stay included several statuses or cities, explain the timeline before relying on a single certificate.

Documents to prepare

  • Your passport or other applicable overseas identity record, plus evidence connecting it to the relevant China stay.
  • The police certificate from the appropriate Exit-Entry department.
  • For delegated notarization: authorization, the representative’s identity document, and a photo of the applicant holding the authorization, as specified by the office.

Applying from outside China

The published checklist expressly allows a representative for the notarial stage. The police stage, overseas power-of-attorney formalities and any original-document requirements must be confirmed separately.

Notarization, translation & Apostille

The photo described by this office is a photo holding the power of attorney. It is not evidence that every Nanning applicant must take a selfie holding a passport. We identify the actual requesting office and agree the transmission channel before collection.

How we help with your application

  1. Identify the Nanning residence history and the police office that can accept it.
  2. Agree the exact authorization and whether any overseas notarization or authentication is needed.
  3. Obtain the police result and complete the selected notary’s identity checks.
  4. Confirm language, destination requirements and delivery of originals.

Before you sign or courier anything

  • Which police counter accepts a former foreign resident’s history?
  • What is the current wording and authentication requirement for a power of attorney signed abroad?
  • Is the holding-authorization photo still required for this route, and what secure submission method is accepted?

Send the receiving authority’s document instructions with personal identifiers removed. We use them to agree the required dates, language, number of copies and delivery format before commissioning work.
