China Notary Help

City guide · Wuhan, Hubei

Wuhan police certificate, from overseas.

A foreign resident’s Wuhan PCC route starts with residence history and the responsible Exit-Entry office. An overseas representative needs the locally accepted authorization.

Checked 13 October 2026For foreign residents & former residents

Your local application route

Wuhan Police confirms that its immigration service centre supports foreign residents’ criminal-record and related notarial services. A local operator’s 2024 guide describes district Exit-Entry acceptance based on the registered accommodation address; the current district and counter should be checked before filing.

Who may be eligible

  • The national rule provides a route for foreigners who have resided in mainland China for at least 180 days. Keep your Wuhan residence permits and dates available for the local eligibility check.
  • The operator guide describes a Wuhan-issued residence permit and at least 180 days in Wuhan. Treat this as an operational lead, rather than a newly verified police rule for every historical case.

A tourist visa, residence permit and temporary accommodation registration are different records. If your stay included several statuses or cities, explain the timeline before relying on a single certificate.

Documents to prepare

  • Valid passport and the older passport pages connecting your identity to the China stay.
  • Wuhan residence permits and temporary accommodation registrations, where available.
  • The current foreign-applicant form; a locally accepted power of attorney and representative’s ID if applying through someone else.

Applying from outside China

An overseas case needs the district office’s current requirements for authorization, original identity documents and collection. Do not notarize a generic power of attorney before its wording and overseas authentication requirements have been checked.

Notarization, translation & Apostille

Police issuance and preparation of a notarial document are separate checks. Ask the selected foreign-related notary whether it needs the police result first or a referral letter, and which translation or certificate format is appropriate.

How we help with your application

  1. Reconstruct your Wuhan addresses, dates and passport changes.
  2. Confirm the responsible Exit-Entry counter and the overseas authorization package.
  3. File the police inquiry, respond to any historical-record questions and check the stated coverage dates.
  4. Complete the agreed notarial, translation and authentication stages, then arrange delivery.

Questions before you apply

Can every Wuhan case be handled with passport scans?

Do not assume so. A local community checklist describes passport originals, while the exact district and overseas circumstances are not fully established. We check the office’s accepted original-verification method before asking you to courier anything.

Might I need a photo holding both my passport and authorization?

A Wuhan community checklist describes that photo. It is a route-specific lead, not a verified rule for every applicant. If your office requires it, we explain the exact photo, purpose, recipients and agreed channel before collection.

Before you sign or courier anything

  • Which district handles a former resident whose last accommodation record is old?
  • Will copies be accepted, or must any original passport or authorization travel to China?
  • Does the chosen notary require an initial liaison letter or a police result already issued?

Send the receiving authority’s document instructions with personal identifiers removed. We use them to agree the required dates, language, number of copies and delivery format before commissioning work.
