Guangxi is a region, not one application counter
Nanning and Guilin have different published notarial checklists. Start with the actual city and registered address associated with your residence. A case completed in one Guangxi city does not establish that the same authorization or identity-verification method will be accepted everywhere in the autonomous region.
Foreign applicants: keep the categories separate
Use the national foreign-resident inquiry baseline and the relevant local police requirements. Chinese hukou applicants, former Chinese nationals, Hong Kong / Macao / Taiwan residents and foreign passport holders can appear on the same notarial webpage, but their evidence requirements should not be merged into one checklist.
What differs in the published guidance
- Nanning Beibuwan’s notarial checklist directs foreign applicants to Exit-Entry police proof and describes a photo holding the authorization for delegated notarization.
- Guilin’s notarial guide refers to the last place of residence, evidence of half a year in China, and original verification after online pre-screening.
- Neither guide establishes a universal, scan-only overseas police filing process for all Guangxi cities.
Lived elsewhere in Guangxi?
For Liuzhou, Beihai or another Guangxi city, send the city, approximate dates and permit type. We first identify the responsible Exit-Entry office and verify its current foreign-applicant procedure. We do not apply a Nanning checklist to a different city simply because it is in the same province-level region.
After issuance
Confirm the notarial document, language and any authentication required for the intended use. Guangxi’s entrusted Foreign Affairs Office is listed in the HCCH mainland authority directory; the actual document and authorized territorial scope still need checking before filing.
